Aven Claron

Café Owner | Café Worker | Human

""

Not quite a deadpan individual, but someone who takes charge easily when a situation starts to escalate. He is not easily surprised or fazed by anything, which is potentially related to his relative insomnia and need to take things in stride in awareness of how fact can result otherwise. Idly awkward, not letting things faze him either when relevant to himself, there are occasions where something is said rhetorically and he just goes along with responses or lack of them, depending on circumstance. Effort is his maxim, which is often something that can be relied on: at least regarding typical occurrences, which are not always typical. He has not died yet, which he does not disregard and may be unlikely but still worries about.

History

Had a typical upbringing around the frazione Mizzole for most of his earlier years. As the town was correlated to and situated nearby the city of Verona, he was often looking over to it figuratively and at times literally.

There was an eventual relocation to follow his interests by extent, through attending classes at a university there for a few years in order to attain a Laurea degree, for later prospects.

However, he was sidetracked by other factors and interests. A decision to occupy his time differently followed, complications occurring that meant he had to prioritise how his days were spent.

In the attempt to purchase a café along one of the many paths along Verona's streets and side routes, the discussion between himself and the prior owner was strange.

This was mostly dismissed, as he had not seen anything odd prior to that exchange, and shortly after began setting up a place where he could work and live, the building older and compounded in structure.

It was not too long that he was offset and having put up with the situation in the moment, there was not much reason he supposed he could not continue with the same routine. It was frightening, certainly, but there was no hostility and the currency obtained was crucial.

Despite his nerves being on edge at times, he has mostly bypassed shock and assumed that he knows what he is doing. In current retrospect, he is not too unfamiliar with strangeness, and has put considerable thought and effort into researching on occasion.

A few individuals have since seemed to move into his workspace and he cannot quite make himself drive them off. They appear strange to him, and that is basis for uncertainty as well as attempts to understand relevancies. Although his sister does not seem fazed, that still does not lessen his own indecision.

They are not unlike persons he has seen so far in terms of customers, regarding 'magical' elements.

Trivia

The owner of a quiet café on a nondescript side-street. He often works there as well, keeping staff minimal for the most part.

The person he hired was less fazed than him when conducting the interview, even when he did not seem offset while talking over matters. As it turned out, preparing for that did and did not help.

The location often only opens the morning and afternoon and more nondescriptly remains active in the evenings.

He often sleeps part of the remaining hours beyond those spent working.

He allows take-out orders for the night crowd. This is a fact usually spread by hearsay.

Aven either was passed the business or purchased it. In either case, he was given information on what to expect about visiting individuals.

Already having had an easygoing mentality, finding it easier to not be bothered by most things and due to chronic insomnia being often tired enough to take things at face-value, he did not do much more than hesitate when realising fact.

Often creates polymer clay items as a side-hobby, normally when he has time to himself after accounting for everything from earlier in the day, or from the prior night. Often, these are pastel-aesthetic and similarly toned. A few have suggested he start a side-business in selling custom decorations.

Hair pins he crafted are frequently used to tie back his hair. An often utilised one appears to be shaped as of a fried egg. Others include stars, flowers, and coffee related themes.

Often is purchased from by Liana, who utilises related works in her own craft.

He has created a few signature recipes using things suggested by others which are occasionally added to the chalkboard at the front.

He does not accept payment for some deliveries, and often declines attempts at gratitude. When infrequently unable to avoid being passed an item, resulting trinkets are set around the café as decoration.

This is currently minimal as a factor as he is relatively adept at turning conversations to other topics.

He appears to understand that not everything may be ideal for others, which can be multifaceted as an element. He tries to show consideration where he can.

Transgender, female to male. His transition is kept nondescript, preferring to not complicate others' perceptions.

This happened before he left to Verona, and might have been part of the complication between himself and his parentage. He does not talk about the rest of his family often, and others typically do not ask if aware.

He maintains a degree of capability even with complications, not typically letting matters go too out of hand if possible. That shows in his demeanour as well as his decisions.
