History

A long known species of squirrel.

Distance is typically maintained by individuals.

Trivia

Blends in with the trees inhabited due to colouration.

Frequently active, aside from watchful.

Smaller than other squirrels morphologically. This appears to aid in locomotion.

May be lighter than other squirrels, despite the morphological differences.

Longevity is unknown.

It is infrequent to see a deceased specimen due to distant habitats and withdrawn behaviour exhibited.

Diet appears to encompass fruit, seeds, and insects, according to scattered reports.

Appears intelligent, the extent of this unclear for many individuals.

There have been reports of persons archaically keeping individuals as company. The degree of wildness retained is unmentioned in those cases.

Scattered accounts yet exist of individuals being trained to handle tools. This evidently included flutes and alike instruments.

Within certain forest expanses, accounts have been presented of one or more individuals evidently interacting with travellers.

The individual or individuals in question were typically alone. It is noteable however that it has not always been the case in every report.

Persons have reputedly been injured due to being attacked by deer and other animals. The time of day was dusk in a majority of the cases, which made it difficult to discern numbers and the direction of attack.

A few persons have intermittently vanished within the boundaries of those forests, which is presumed to be connected to related parties.
