Glace

Baker | Traveller | Eidolon

Has a cheerful demeanour. Does not appear inherently offsetting, which compounds with other elements to subversion. Often retains a sense of diligence with her efforts, not with intended harm, although chaos can result from decided or different directions.

History

Appeared suddenly, reports consecutive and however sporadic.

It is unclear how she occurred, although there is a clear tie to baking in mentality. The complications that have resulted from her presence are indeterminant, but significant accounts are sufficient to detail fact.

Appearances are often evidently random, but largely centred around kitchens and sculleries.

Trivia

Typically is not visually apparent until the sun sets. Then, may be faintly evident.

Can be considered a traveller to some degree, by varying decision not remaining bound to one location too indefinitely.

How long she has been adrift is uncertain. At least a few locations have been resided about and then abandoned due to less-than-ideal structural quality.

Has not often attempted to take up space around an active location. This may or may not change at some duration, depending on ambient factors.

Finds it necessary to be around a given location at least for a moderate timeframe, in order to sustain herself on the dormant energy surrounding relevant scenery. A given choice is typically a wider setting, but can be limited to one or more objects.

This is not unlike other sprectres, although she is significant as a figure regardless due to correlating factors.

Her presence acts as a sort of 'hive mind', which tends to grow in apparency directly correlative to the duration she spends 'housekeeping' a location.

Effort goes into looking after a structure. She likely leaves more and more of an 'influence' on an area inhabited through the fact of activity itself, regardless of basis.

Things that should not be 'conscious' are, given sentience through technical haunting, and to that degree are capable of self-sufficiency.

This factor degrades if not itself sustained, although it is unlikely she would attempt to leave a place 'claimed' in that manner without complication.

Not technically alive; which she does not seem to mind. Her appearance, when evident, is different than how she appeared prior to dying.

Sometimes cooks in the morning, later into the evening, or in the middle of the night: potentially causing surreal occurrences in the perspective of outer parties through related activity.

She may utilise dough, marzipan, and related ingredients to maintain a direct influence on surroundings otherwise. The resulting congruity is not by far different than how she appears by default, if more solid.

The inclusion of natural dyes, which are often correlated to marzipan and other decorative materials, is evidently a factor in apparent solidity.

Maintains an icy temperature whether 'solid' or ephemeral, which is essentially a diversion of nearby elements to her own benefit, whether those are living or not in basis.

May be able to take control of other solid objects, although the viability of this is uncertain. Seems to prefer bakery-related materials as opposed to corpses and related factors.

Glace is a nickname that evidently carried over from her living years. The name itself is more prominent than her likely actual one, which remains unrecalled. Only remembers that 'a lot happened in a short time', the fact itself avoided as a thought, as opposed to other necessary directions.

Leaves a colder temperature behind after departing a location, essentially taking an amount of present ambient energy for self-sustainment, a fact which is often easily corrected.
