Magick

Ranges of magick vary. One of the most frequently utilised categories appears to be sympathetic magick: the use of objects to invoke influence. Objects have properties which possess influence dormantly, and these can be made 'active' through an influx of energy and will, typically causing influence directed toward a specific purpose.

Despite this, there are more direct methods that are not tied to anything physical at their basis: namely energy, words, and actions singularly. Invoking energy without spoken word falls in this latter range and is typically based in active decision. It is through this catalystic means that energy may be 'generated', if not pulled from the self or surrounding factors.

A considerable amount of sub-categories exist to sympathetic magick and prior mentioned spontaneous invocation. Curses, spellcraft, enchantments, and other terminology can be correlated to either generality.

The degree of influence or energy directed toward a specific end also has importance in processes. Depending on the exact components or methods regarding a decision, a resulting output can be draining of self-vitality or the surrounding ambience. What exactly is spent can vary, which is reason for caution.

There are evidently many doorways that occur, natural and unnatural, between Aliud and Earth. These ports are not always active, albeit paths are two-sided generally: which depends on understanding and awareness of how to open them. Doorways often encompass physical entries, which may appear normal from a surface level perspective. These locations vary in activity, and may be mapped by individuals, or in varying cases used to be.

Sigils and ley lines typically need an instigating factor for everything to correspond. Unless an individual is in the right place with coherent knowledge, it would be unlikely passages between locatives would be accidental. There may not have been many significant crossings for some time, which could relate to differences in perspective on both sides of the line.
