""

Quiet overall but less often reserved. Often minutely gestures when interacting with others. Habitually may look away or cover her mouth with one hand when speaking, being evidently conscious about unnerving others. Her demeanour usually has a cheerful, indirect undercurrent. Not bothered by height differences. Even with conversation being often situationally limited, does not find herself needing to be socially coherent. Appears to view herself better suited to the company of written works when on dry land, which is alternated with other pursuits when travelling across the ocean for other landforms. Due to related factors, finds herself alone more often than not, which generally is not minded.

History

About two decades ago, hatched around the Sargasso sea range. It took her a while to gain capability, although she had support from both her parents to an extent. After a while, travelling started through their initiative, and she saw many things in the few years that lasted. It was an eventual decision to go off on her own as well, one of her parental figures having returned to their usual deep sea environment prior to then. Traversing the ocean alone was frightening at times, albeit she kept to mostly shallow areas.

At some duration, having been to many seaside areas continentally, she stopped at Verona, and has remained there for about a few months since.

Trivia

Can be considered a cross between the sargassum frogfish and the whipnose angler within the context of a merfolk background.

Due to her mixed genetics has a set of cage-like teeth, which are not used violently as much as they are for dietary purposes.

Sometimes prefers not to speak, her teeth not always viewed as the most unthreatening.

Awareness of that can make her appear ‘speechless’ generally, unless situation prompts necessity.

Her hair is technically all antenna, and the ends glow in dim surroundings.

Occasionally hums, at times regardless of locational basis. Her voice can affect water particles, which can be advantageous and may not be overlooked as a capability.

Carnivorous, despite only subsisting off fish and other sea life when necessary.

There is a high pH to her stomach acid; possibly more than human sorts.

Does not eat very often due to physiological capability concerning food.

May not try for other dietary options, being wary of possible risk.

Seems to be around 22-24 years of age. Does not know specifically how old she is, memory serving as a basis for assumption. In the depths, time blurs.

Often accounts for her own chromatism as a makeshift timer. Days typically pass at least before a considerable change happens.

Can change colors within a matter of days, echoing her background. This is yet not often relevant due to consistent mobility and differences in scenery.

Around 125 cm tall.

Evidently speaks at least a few languages. This is necessary for travel. Further comprehension for phonemics is occasionally gathered through encounters with cognisant individuals, or other travellers aside from herself.

Sometimes may confuse the wording or grammar between languages, usually if distracted.

The sargassum frogfish is endemic to Indonesian waters, but has been found many other places.

In her own case, she is not bothered by different saline ranges.

Connections may extend beyond land-based relationships, although most individuals she knows are rarely again encountered without months or years passing.

Typically stays around waterways and nearby sea ranges. Occasionally visits more terrain-oriented places. In those cases, she usually avoids persons aside from those known of.

Collects sea-oriented plants and materials. Often makes a journey from other areas to estuaries and further waterways, cities and towns only risked if understanding a lack of water vehicles at a given location. Knows many people evidently.

There are frequent attempts to keep busy at a dockside storeroom during the later hours when at Verona. Despite this, wandering idly might happen if lacking purpose. Most places are evidently interesting to her through the differences in scenery.

Sometimes takes Euro and other coins deposited in fountains for her own use.

Exchanges relevant (and irrelevant) currency for various items when applicable, usually at a certain market or various stores where she is able to, correlations existent.

Sometimes obtains currency by exchanging items she found with others, which results similarly in terms of purchases. Usually buys tea and other things easy to prepare, some of which are occasionally passed to Moiré.

Rainy days are favorable in her view, although storms are unsettling. She often meanders the streets in relevant durations without as much concern for her welfare.

Occasionally leaves a woodcarving, shell, or a piece of kelp at locations she has been. This serves as a marker, both to signal others and to set a boundary for herself. Relevant items sometimes vanish or become exchanged before she returns, which is often expected in the latter case.

Her real name is uncertain and may not actually be singular. Nominal factors most likely vary between locations and regions, her own self a definer in terms of recognisability.

Evidently has travelled to many vicinities. When landing at a place, often remains a few hours to several weeks. During these intervals, she relies on herself or others in the vicinity who are known or who are aware of relevant individuals.
