'Noctis'

Scientist | Instructor | Orator | Luna Moth | Fae

Overall can be described as quiet and responsible, if at times too reserved. He tries not to get irritated and may withdraw socially if confrontation or events result in too many complications. Despite having an easy-going personality, he does have his limits, and may drop a conversation or try to defend his opinion when necessary. He occasionally can become distracted by ambient thoughts, which results in an unconscious pace or other habit. When this occurs, he may not always try to explain himself in finding that difficult depending on the situation.

History

He grew up rather normally within a small populace. At that earlier setting, he only occasionally went beyond what was familiar. The decision to branch out has not led to much detriment despite limited awareness. As Noctis is a night-oriented individual at his basis, difficulty in perceiving the surroundings does not stop him from attempting to address matters during the earlier hours. This was a factor that proved beneficial when travelling in order to consider other regions' weather for independent studies. Eventually, he took on a more solid occupation in terms of research and lecturing. It is a direction that he found that he was genuinely adept at.

After noting someone who was relatively new at work, they talked intermittently between classes and eventually found it opportune to share a space in order to cut costs, being on their own to a degree in both cases. This being a norm historically and modernly, there was not too much issue with looking after a small space simultaneously. They mostly keep separate in the residence itself, sometimes talking over delegating responsbilities in regards to rent and management.

His responsibilities continue to be a focus. Both work and study encompass a great deal of time and writing. These are often a distraction from social matters, but do not entirely take up his days.

Trivia

He does not like considerable attention. He cannot be considered shy or bashful, but prefers normal discourse rather than being a central focus.

Noctis does not speak very well. His mouth is minute in structure.

He can eat and drink, separate from 'typical moths'.

Beyond that, his vocal depth is limited. This may bolster attempted distance.

He has a very quiet voice, usually.

May give off faint luminescence, which occurs more around his wings and antennae.

This factor lessens when stressed. The measure of illuminance varies depending on situational tone.

This can be an indicator of mood on occasion.

He has a stolid personality, unconsciously enduring surrounding pressures.

This strain, when relevant to a situation, exists behind decisions and often isn't noticed. As a result, it can be difficult to discern when he is calm or actually stressed.

He may unconsciously or deliberately distance himself after a relevant duration when upset.

Regardless of his own awareness, it can take some time for tension to dissipate.

He is slightly more in scale than Xylo, but still small.

He studies botany and alike fields; although has branched into astronomy and meteorology to some extent otherwise.

Noctis stays up late at night sometimes, mapping the motion of the sky.

He is an orator to some degree by trade. This concerns astronomy and earth sciences. Beyond this academic occupation, he can be considered a scholar or scientist.

He travels occasionally to study the ecology of different regions, agriculturally and botanically.

In conjunction with Xylo, he occasionally prints articles with suggestions concerning crops and crop rotations, aside from astronomy and other subjects.

As of the luminary element, Noctis can amplify his voice to a zenith; potentially to the degree that other persons' eardrums burst.

This can result in vertigo or imbalance in those subject to relevant sound waves, if permanent hearing loss does not result.

The range of sound-wavelengths possible is not limited to extremes, and other effects can result from his vocal scale.
